Teach your team to break at pace and catch opposition players on the back foot.
Helps teams to take advantage of winning the ball and moving quickly to catch the opposition out.
You need balls, bibs, cones and two goals, in an area of 50x30 yards, including a five-yard central zone. Use 11 players and a server.
Split players into three groups of three, plus two goalkeepers, with the coach as server. One team defends one goal, one team defends the other goal and the third team starts in the centre. The team in the centre receives a pass from the coach and attacks either goal. If successful they return to the central zone and receive a new ball and then attack the opposite goal. If the defenders win the ball, or if the attacking team doesn’t score, they quickly swap places, with the defending team going to the central zone to receive a ball from the coach in order to quickly counter-attack.
