This session works on three strikers like Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona. It trains strikers to create and combine in overload situations, giving them help in recognising goalscoring opportunities, shooting early, or passing to team mates in better positions. MORE

One-two, pass and shoot
COMBINE TO GOAL
“Use good dribbling technique” • “Pass and move” • “Try to shoot first touch”
Place two cones 5 yards apart, a cone gate another 3 yards on and target goal a further 5 yards on from the gate.
Put two players on the first cone, each with a ball, and a server to the side of the second cone.
Players dribble from the first cone towards the second, play a one-two with the server around the second cone and shoot, first time, through the gate into the goal.
After shooting, players run back round to the starting cone.
The one-two passing must be confident and crisp. If necessary, the server can take two touches – one to control the ball and one to pass the ball back for the working player to run onto.
How many players do I need?
Players work in threes.
